It is amazing how documentaries are actually produced
these days. With narrow avenues available for pitching,
the steep
competition and then finally, if you manage to get a commission,
the “budget.” Completing one certainly gives
you a sense of achievement. It’s no wonder that the
style and quality of documentaries produced under these conditions
show the effects. The all to often statement from documentary
makers is, ‘if only we had more time…’ But
